אות ב:

• ונפלינו אני ועמך מכל העם אשר על פני האדמהAnd I and Your people will be set apart from every people on earth
• מגיד דבריו ליעקב וגו' לא עשה כן לכל גויHe tells His words to Yaakov... He did not do so for any nation
• אין פלוגOrdinarily/as a rule
• יכול כמוניCould it be like Me?
• בניחותאComfortably/easily understood

אות ג:

• אשר יצוה את בניו ואת ביתו אחריו ושמרו דרך הוי'That he command his children and household after him to keep the way of Hashem

אות ד:

• עזב ה' את הארץHashem has abandoned the land
• מאותות השמים אל תחתו (אבער) יחתו הגוים מהמהDo not fear the signs of the heavens, though the nations fear them
• בגימטריא הטבעNumerically equal to "nature"
• הוי' הוה ויהי' כאחדHashem was, is and will be as one
• ועכו"ם ששבת חייב מיתהAnd a gentile who keeps Shabbos is liable to death

• סמך שבת למקדשShabbos is placed next to the Mikdash

• קדש עצמך במותר לךSanctify yourself in what is permitted to you

אות ז:

• אל תהא יושב ושוקל כו' קלה שבקלות וחמורה שבחמורותDo not sit and weigh the lightest and heaviest of mitzvos
• עתידין צדיקים שאומרין לפניהן קדושIn the future, tzaddikim will have "Kadosh" said before them
• תלוי במעשינו ועבודתינו עכשיוDependent on our deeds and service now

• הסתר היותר דקA more subtle concealment
• וסביביו נשערה מאדAnd around Him it storms greatly
• מדקדק כחוט השערהExacting to a hair's breadth
• וארא גו' בא-ל שד"י ושמי הוי' לא נודעתי להםI appeared (to the Avos) as E-l Shad-dai, but by My Name Havaya I was not known to them

• גילוי העצמותRevelation of Hashem's Essence
• אלקות השייך לעולמותDivinity that relates to the worlds
• תכלית שלימות כוונת הבריאהThe final completion of Creation's purpose
• לעצמותוFor His Essence

אות י:

• א מציאות פאר זיךA separate entity of his own
• בטל ממציאותוNullified from his own existence
• עצם הנשמהThe very essence of the soul

אות יא:

• שרש הנבראיםThe root of created beings
• אנא נפשי כתבית יהביתI Myself wrote and gave over My soul
• כל הגבוה גבוה ביותר יורד למטה מטה יותרThe higher it is, the lower it descends
• מצוה לקום מפני עושי מצוהIt is a mitzva to stand before those performing a mitzva

• תלת דרגין אינון קודשא בריך הוא אורייתא וישראלThere are three levels: Hashem, Torah and Yisrael

• גליאRevealed (part)
• אלקות שלמעלה מהעולמותDivinity above the worlds
• גליא דקוב"הThe revealed part of Hashem

• ניסים הנסתרים בלבושי הטבעHidden miracles clothed in nature

אות יג:

• תלת קשרין מתקשרין דא בדא ישראל באורייתא ואורייתא בקוב"הThree bonds tie together: Yisrael with Torah and Torah with Hashem
• סתים דנשמהThe hidden part of the soul
• סתים דאורייתאThe hidden part of the Torah
• הוי' ואלקים כולא חדHavaya and Elokim are all one

אות יד:

• כל תורה שאין עמה מלאכה סופה בטילהAny Torah that has no work with it ends up nullified

אות טז:

• רש ואיש תככים נפגשו מאיר עיני שניהם ה'The poor man and the man of deceit meet; Hashem enlightens the eyes of them both
• עשיר ורש נפגשו עושה כולם ה'The rich and poor meet; Hashem made them all

אות יז:

• טופח על מנת להטפיחWet enough to wet others

• תולהMakes dependent
• צדיקים הנסתריםThe hidden tzaddikim

אות יט:

• במקום שאין אנשים השתדל להיות אישWhere there are no men, strive to be a man
• ואני את נפשי הצלתיAnd I have saved my own soul
• מקום פרוץA breached/open place
• נעשים מוחו ולבו זכיםHis mind and heart become purified
• אלף אלפים פעמים ככהA thousand thousand times as much
• אתה החיית נפשו של עניYou gave life to a poor man
• קא אתי מר בעגלא דידןThe Master is coming in our time

אות כא:

• עולם הפוךAn upside-down world
• על כל פשעים תכסה אהבהLove covers all transgressions
• ואל תאמין בעצמךDo not trust yourself
• הוא בגן עדן ורבו שלמדו תורה והביאו לחיי עולם הבא בגיהנםHe is in Gan Eden while his teacher, who taught him Torah and brought him to the World to Come, is in Gehinnom

אות כב:

• הנה זה עומד אחר כתלינוBehold, he stands behind our wall
• אחכה לו בכל יום שיבאI wait for him every day that he come

אות כג:

• כחי ועוצם ידי עשה לי את החיל הזהMy power and the might of my hand made me this wealth
• זקנים לנביאיםElders to the prophets
• רבותינו שבכל דור ודורOur teachers in every generation
• אתפשטותא דמשה שבכל דרא ודראAn extension of Moshe in every generation
