אות א:

• מתחילת ברייתו של עולם לא הי' קלוסו של הקב"ה עולה אלא מן המיםFrom the world's creation, Hashem's praise rose only from the waters
• עמד דור המבול ומרד בוThe Generation of the Flood rose up and rebelled against Him
• יפנו אלו ויעמדו ויבואו אותן שישבו בהן מקודםLet these clear out, and those who dwelt there before come back
