מרננים ואומרים–Were murmuring and saying
יצחק נתעטר באברהם ואברהם נתעטר ביצחק–Yitzchok was adorned through Avraham, and Avraham was adorned through Yitzchok
יראה תתאה–Lower fear
יראה עילאה–Higher fear
יראת הרוממות–Awe of (His) exaltedness
אהבה זוטא–Smaller love
אהבה רבה–Greater love
מעשה אבות סימן לבנים–The deeds of the fathers are a sign for the children
לעולם יעסוק אדם בתורה ובמצוות אפילו שלא לשמן–A person should always engage in Torah and mitzvos, even not for their own sake
שמתוך שלא לשמן בא לשמן–For from doing it not for its sake, one comes to do it for its sake
אין קורין אבות אלא לשלשה–Only three are called "Avos"
ויקם אברהם מעל פני מתו–And Avraham rose from before his dead

ויוצא אותו החוצה–And He took him outside
צא מאיצטגנינות שלך–Go out of your astrology
אם ראשונים בני מלאכים אנו בני אנשים–If the earlier ones were like angels, we are like men
צר קלסתר פניו של יצחק דומה לאברהם–He fashioned Yitzchok's face to resemble Avraham's
